BEACHES
Santorini boasts some of the most extraordinary beaches in the Mediterranean, offering an idyllic backdrop to relax and enjoy swimming and sunbathing. The coastline of Santorini is very diverse, with their shores and surrounding landscapes having red, white and black hues, formed by the volcano’s eruption thousands of years ago. Most of the beaches along the island are well-organized, offering sun-loungers, umbrellas, water sports facilities, diving centers, bars and restaurants—perfect for combining your moments of relaxation with some entertainment. The most famous beaches you should not miss are the Red Beach, the White Beach, and the black sanded beaches of Perivolos, Kamari and Perissa in the south, as well as Ammoudi, Katharos, Baxedes and Cape Columbo in the north of the island.
